This is my second painting in this series. I was looking forward to creating a yellow painting but because the cadmium yellow that I have has such a limited value range and I wanted to create more of a contrast in values(Light figure on dark background) I used the violet to get a bigger range. This one took longer because the reference shot that was chosen did not have the ideal lighting on the figure. I will continue on working on this one after it dries, maybe do a yellow glaze over it with some wax. Hope you enjoy it.
