This is my first illustrated type piece. The assignment was to to create a type and then integrate an illustration with it. I did some research on the "Lady of The Dead" and found several other names that they called her. The name that I found that was better to work with was "Santa Muerte" which translates into English as "Saint Death" What I found most interesting was what she stood for which is "no matter how beautiful you are everyone dies and ends up looking the same." The artist who inspired me was misprintedtype.com

I like this piece alot! The brown on her face is a little dark and hard to read, but otherwise it looks good to me. Nice composition!
